Raga is a real multi-talent in the house. Use it as a stylish fruit bowl in your kitchen to elegantly present your fresh fruit, or as a unique bread basket on your breakfast table that immediately attracts the attention of all guests. In addition, the artfully woven bowl can also serve as a special wall decoration and give your rooms an individual touch. There are no limits to your imagination when using Raga.

Please also note our other offers - in our store you will find many different baskets, home accessories and bags made from sustainable materials under fair production conditions.

Main material: Raffia

Our baskets are made from vegetable fibers. They smell and therefore feel wonderfully like nature.

Raffia (Corypha utan) occurs naturally in the steppe and forest areas of Southeast Asia. About every two years the plant renews its leaves and sheds the old ones, which are then collected by humans, dried in the sun for several days to weeks and, depending on the desired degree of browning, processed into wickerwork. The relative rarity and higher processing effort make this material somewhat more expensive compared to other plant fibers. Although it is little known in Europe, the material has proven itself among the local population in Southeast Asia in the form of all kinds of everyday utensils and is very popular due to its pleasantly soft, but robust character.
